a copper alloy object, possibly a bolt terminal, of possible Medieval date. It is an incomplete rectangular bar, 36.34mm in length with rectangular cross section, tapering from one short terminal(7.13mm in width) to the other(3.15mm in width). The narrower terminal comes to a point, which is worn. It weighs 6.91g. It could be the end from a lock-bolt (Egan, 1998, fig 84, no.293) but equally could be part of another medieval object.
