An early medieval copper alloy disc brooch of backward-looking animal type. It is a small flat disc, 28.16mm in diameter with the surface very worn. It is decorated with a backward-looking animal, surrounded by a border of pellets. The animal has a raised tail, and its four limbs terminate in a two or three-element paw. The face is worn but the eye is ring-like, and the back of the neck is ragged suggesting a mane. The reverse is plain, with a lug and a fragment of the catchplate.
