Medieval locking buckle c. 1300-1400. Frame length 16mm, width 29mm, rectangular.Flange on outer edge, transverse pin rest in centre of outer edge. separate locking bar terminal holds pin in place. Pin is on hollow rectangular bar, and tapers to a point. Locking bar U-shaped and faceted, narrows towards its terminal which has a knob, rounded with diagonal grooves.The terminal inside the pin bar is circular in cross section. It mooves freely within the pin bar. There is a parallel locking bar (without buckle) which has been found in Norwich (Margeson 1993, 26-28, fig 13 no. 139).

Copper alloy, medieval thimble, flattened at the open end. 18mm in height, 25mm in width at flattened rim. With straight sides and pointed top. Circumerencial groove round the rim. The sides have vertical lines and the top has circumferential lines of circular indentations.

Double looped buckle frame, c.1500-1700. Copper alloy. Length 29mm, width 33mm, with D-shaped loops. The central bar has a triangular cross-section. The reverse face of the buckle is flat and the front face is rounded. At the centre of the outer edge of each loop are three transverse grooves, 5mm apart.

Copper alloy moulded terminal from chest or casket handle of medieval date.It is 16mm wide and 10mm in length. Hollow cylinder in shape with central perforation narrowing towards the shorter outer edge, where there is triangular grooved decoration on both sides. Possibly zoomorpic decoration, with one narrower groove and one wider, lentoid shaped decorative indentation on both sides of the terminal. A similar complete example has been found, see Read, 1995, p87, obj no. 532.

Copper alloy buckle frame, post medieval, double looped with central bar, 26mm wide and 38mm in length. It weighs 5.60g. There are two small winged projections towards each end of both long sides. Both short sides are rounded. There are traces of iron staining in the centre of the central bar and one short side, around the groove of the pin rest, this is probably the remains of an iron pin.

Copper alloy post medieval buckle frame, double oval looped with central bar with pointed lobes at each end. Each outer edge is decorated with one set of paired lobes with floral decoration in the centre. There are triangular knops where the bar meets the frame. The buckle is 9.54g in weight. It is 48.6mm wide and 36.2mm in length.

Two medieval copper alloy rectangular buckle frames, with folded sheet rectangular plates, both incomplete. 1) A folded sheet plate with an incomplete frame. Only the bar and fragments of each side remain. The plate is not recessed for the frame. The plate has a pin hole and a pin attached by an open loop. The attachment end has two broken rivet holes. Medieval copper alloy strap fitting, with raised central disc, decorated with three grooved lines intersecting at the centre, to form a pattern of 6 triangles. A rectangular projection from the arc of one triangle is pierced with a rivet hole, and is matched on the opposite side, where the projection is recessed and continues as a tapering strip, thickening in cross-section, and incomplete at the tip. Plate incomplete, with broken piercings, possibly part of decorative openwork. There are traces of a possible white metal coating on both faces. It is 22.4mm wide and 16mm long, and weighs 2.35g.
