Medieval pendant cross, with a central roundel, which is inscribed on the front with the letters "A G" and on the back "L A". Each arm of the cross has a bulbous terminal. Taken together the letters read 'A G L A' to signify the Hebrew 'Ate Gebir Leilam Adonai' meaning 'thou art mighty forever, O Lord'. This phrase was used as a widespread charm against fever in the Middle Ages. A large suspension loop is soldered to the top terminal.
The pendant cross is silver, with some traces of gilding, and dates from the thirteenth century.
