Iron Age copper alloy terminal of an unusual form of linch-pin. Circular-sectioned with incised ring on upper face, broad deep groove defining end and bordering engraved line on body with opposed oval-sectioned ‘arms’ tapering to points and flanking the corroded remains of an inserted sub-rectangular/circular-sectioned iron shank. Diameter 22mm. Length 32mm. Possibly 1st century BC/AD.

Incomplete medieval buckle plate, corroded sub-rectangular with break across pin-notch and constrictions for missing frame, outer half convex-sided and pierced by two rivet-holes and with flanking triangular lobes on both sides, the inner two formed by notches and marking the mid-point, the attachment end being rectangular with a single perforation. >45 x 26mm. cf. broadly similar type in Whitehead (2003) no.48. 12th-13th century.

Medieval copper alloy vessel, heavily cast with high lead content. Thick-walled oval ‘bag-shaped body, opposed twin perforated lugs for handles at rim. The base has three tiny perforations, two in the centre with a third to one side, forming an asymmetrical triangle. Diameter 36mm. Height 54mm. Weight 66.89g. Iron Age toggle, shaped rather like the head of a hammer-head shark, corroded and pitted, flattened ends, swollen in centre, back with longitudinal hollowed section with stump of narrowed longitudinal attachment bar at both ends. Length 28mm, diameter 11mm. It is likely that this toggle would have been used for fastening bags, clothes or straps. It probably dates to the Late Iron Age/Early Roman period, perhaps the first century AD.
