Fragment of Romano-British copper alloy finger ring (8 x (unbent) >36mm). Finely detailed Snake-headed terminal from snake-ring, very similar to examples from the Snettisham jeweller's hoard, part of distorted oval-sectioned band decorated behind the head with small semi-circular stamps and oblique lines. cf. Johns (1996) fig.3.3. 2nd century AD.

Fragment of medieval finger-ring consisting of a shoulder and half of a flat bezel. The shoulder is of arched section and has three facets in the front, and the rectangular sectioned bezel, broken across a square or rectangular perforation for a missing setting, is decorated with a pair of opposed, moulded V-sectioned notches, a median engraved line between short oblique and transverse engraved lines. The profile was probably similar to a later 14th-century lead ring from London (Dress Accessories no. 1621), but this piece is probably earlier. Shoulder width 6, bezel width 7mm.

Romano-British finger-ring without bezel. The round-sectioned hoop widens to a D-section with moulded Dolphin or possibly snake heads confronted on both sides of a small ribbed moulding. The heads are not surmounted by crests as in Roman depictions of Dolphins but rather have lateral curving projections more reminiscent of a snake. Internal diameter 16 - 16.5mm. External diameter 21mm. Probably 4th century.

Internal diameter 18mm. External diameter 19.5mm. External diameter across bezel 22mm. 13th – 14th century.
