One part of a two link late Iron Age to early Roman bridle bit of Polden Hill type, c.AD 1-100. This piece is won and broken at both ends. There are extensive remains of a thick black coating on all parts of the bit but concentrated on the central section. This may be the remains of soot deposit from burning. At one end is an oval loop, now broken and worn so the outer edge is narrowed to a point and one side is completely missing with a second, very worn break at the base. Medieval cast copper-alloy single-looped buckle with integral plate. The frame is oval, with a protruding lip at the centre of the outer edge. This lip has a deep transverse groove for the pin. The plate has a collar attached to the loop then a short rectangular section tfrom which projects a long arm, narrowing slightly away from the loop before it ends in a pointed oval terminal the base of which is flanked by small triangles. The coin has been pieced at 2 o'clock on the obverse, 5 o'clock on reverse, near the edge with a circular hole drilled from both sides (raised metal both faces). The position on the obvese avoids the kings head. The coin is also bent but it is not clear if this is deliberate.

A medieval copper alloy shield shaped mount with an integrally cast rivet on the reverse. The front of the mount is flat and the shield has a straight top with curved sides meeting at a point at the bottom. The front of the mount is decorated with an enamelled coat of arms: barry of twelve argent and azure an orle of six martlets gules, i.e. horizontal stripes in blue and silver with an outer ring of red birds. A complete cast copper-alloy spherical animal bell (crotal) of post-medieval date, AD 1700-1850. The bell comprises two hemispherical domes with a raised circumferential join. The upper hemisphere has two sub-circular sound holes with a rectangular loop projecting from the top between them. The leg is trapezoid in cross section with a wider, flat front face and narrower back. It is broken across the top and relatively thin, 15.8mm thick at the break. At the base it expands out into the foot with the front projecting forward in a concave curve.
