A worn and incomplete 1st-century BC Roman Republican denarius struck for Octavian by moneyer M [Vipsanius] Agrippa, 'M AGRIPPA COS // DESIG', at Gaul mint in 38 BC (probably RRC 534/1 and Sydenham 1331; Reece issue period 1). Just under less than half of the coin survives; it appears to have been split in two, resulting in a small loss to the surviving half. The surface of the coin is delaminating on both faces perhaps suggesting that this is a plated copy.
