A complete harness pendant set of medieval date, about AD 1100-1300. The pendant is broadly circular, with a convex front with traces of gilding. The reverse is hollow. A long integral attachment loop projects upwards at the apex; it is at right angles to the pendant. There is a transverse ridge on the front at the junction of loop and plate. The pendant suspension mount is circular, convex at the front and was also gilded. A small copper-alloy single-looped buckle of medieval date, missing its pin, but otherwise complete with cast frame and folded sheet plate. The oval frame is notably small, with a prominent protruding outer edge (14.0 mm long, 16.0 mm wide, 2.9 mm thick). The bar is narrowed and offset. The protruding outer edge forms the pin rest and features a central double pin groove along its width. A fragment from a copper-alloy single-looped oval buckle frame (c. 14th century). It consists of half of the outer edge and the side which extends from it. It has an enlarged outer edge which is flat; this narrows gradually as it curves and develops into the side. The outer edge had a transverse groove at its centre which acted as a pin rest. The frame has broken at this weak point where the outer edge is thinned. Although the buckle was presumably snapped when it broke the breaks are now smooth. A complete Roman copper alloy finger ring with black glass intaglio. The bezel is widened and flattened; the shoulders are also relatively wide before tapering to a thin hoop around half way down the sides (min. W.: 2.8mm). There are some abrasions to the edges of the hoop and a recess formed through corrosion on the underside of the bezel. The bezel is very slightly raised in around the setting. A Roman copper-alloy radiate of Carausius dating to the period AD 286 to 293 (Reece period 14). AEQVIT[AS AVG] reverse type depicting Aequitas standing left holding scales in her right hand and a cornucopiae in left. Possibly Mint of London, -//(ML). Sam Moorhead has another example of this type with a London mintmark in his corpus for the new RIC for Carausius and Allectus. For an unmarked example cf. RIC V.ii, p. 526; no. 736. A clipped and pierced medieval silver halfgroat of Henry VI, first reign (1422-1461), probably leaf-pellet issue, AD 1445-1454, London mint, probably North 1508.
This coin is very worn and has been clipped right up to the inner circle. It has also been pierced, just off centre, through the obverse, possibly for adaptation.

Description: Gold finger ring with 'posy' inscription. The finger ring is D-shaped in section with convex outer side and straight inner face. Around three quarters of the inner face is inscribed the legend: 'In thee my choyse I do rejoyes··' (In thee my choice I do rejoice). There are small traces of black enamel in some letters,. The lettering is italic with a double upright on the first I and cross bars on the I's and J and an elongated upper serif on the c. There is no makers mark.
