Roman glass vessel neck fragment, probably of late 1st or 2nd century AD date
The vessel is incomplete and is represented by the neck only with a surviving height of 18.30mm. The rim is irregular and damaged; it curves outward to produce a rim diameter of 26.82mm. The neck is short (10.5mm) with a diameter of 17.91mm. The shoulder of the vessel is at a near-right angle to the neck. The rim and neck form would suggest a bottle. The glass is blue green and translucent, but not clear. The vessel neck weighs 6.2g.
