A Post-Medieval copper alloy double-looped buckle, dating to AD 1550 - 1650. The buckle is complete apart from the pin. The buckle is formed of two symmetrical D shaped loops. The frame has a trapezoidal cross section. The centre bar is narrowed from the frame with a pointed knop at either end and has a trapezoidal cross section. The outer edges of both loops are knopped and decorated with a moulded sexfoil motif. The rear is undecorated. The buckle is in good condition, is 43mm long, 25mm wide, 3mm thick and weighs 5.55g.
