A Post-Medieval copper alloy double-looped buckle, dating to AD 1550 - 1650. The buckle is complete apart from the pin. The buckle is formed of two symmetrical D shaped loops. The frame has a trapezoidal cross section. The centre bar is narrowed from the frame with a pointed knop at either end and has a trapezoidal cross section. The outer edges of both loops are knopped and decorated with a moulded sexfoil motif. The rear is undecorated. The buckle is in good condition, is 43mm long, 25mm wide, 3mm thick and weighs 5.55g. Copper alloy medieval strap end buckle, dating to AD 1200 - 1400. The buckle is complete with buckle plate and remains of iron pin. The loop of the buckle has two projecting rounded knobs on the anterior face, between which are a series of raised lines.
