Medieval/Post-medieval cast copper-alloy mount, incomplete. The mount is D-shaped in plan (with a worn break edge along the straight side) and domed in section with a flat reverse. Late Iron Age or Romano-British strap union, Taylor and Brailsford type 1. This object is constructed of a figure of eight flanked on either side by a vertical bar, attached at each end by a moulded oval collar. Each collar has an incised central line running around it. The figure of eight is semicircular in section having a flat rear side with a domed front, and the vertical bars are circular in section. Unidentified cast copper-alloy object. The object is incomplete in length and would have been hollow, but only half of its total diameter has survived so the object is now C-shaped. The hollow inside of the surviving part of the object is four-sided, flat and plain. The outside of the object consists of two integral parts. Incomplete Roman copper-alloy skillet or frying pan. Most of the bowl of the pan survives (approximately 80%) with a fraction of the base and approximately 20% of the wall and rim missing. There is an integral short flanged socket extending from the bowl which accommodated the folding handle (now missing). Copper alloy cast knopped mace head, medieval, incomplete. This mace head consists of a hollow cylindrical shaft with 4 projecting four-sided knops in a central row and 7 three-sided (half) knops on two other rows either side of the central one (the eighth knop being missing with an old and worn break edge). The hollow shaft would suggest that this mace head had originally been fixed to either a wooden or metal pole. Post-medieval double-loop buckle frame. Frame consists of two D-shaped loops joined together by a central bar which forms the straight section of both Ds. The bar also protrudes out slightly to the top and bottom of the frame. The pin is missing. The buckle is pitted and abraded with a dark green patina. It measures 37.2mm long, 24.1mm wide, is 2.9mm thick and weighs 5.19g. Similar buckles can be found in Cuddeford, M. 2001. Identifying Buckles, page 26.

Incomplete copper alloy swivel strap distributor, possibly from a dog's lead. This object is one swivelling link from the distributor. It is D shaped in plan. The curved part of the link is circular in section and has zoomorphic terminals. The straight side is formed from an integral flat six-sided plate. Incomplete copper-alloy ring-headed pin, Iron Age (8th to 3rd century BC). Pin consists of the ring-head and the slightly angled shaft nearest to the head, the rest of the shaft is missing. They were used to secure cloaks or stoles at the shoulder. The surface is badly corroded but it does appear to have been decorated with ridges around the outer surface. The inside of the ring-head is plain. It measures 43mm long, 30mm in diameter, is 0.7mm thick and weighs 17g. Incomplete Bronze Age socketed axe head. The blade, face and single side-loop are complete but the socket mouth with moulding is missing and the break edges are worn. The blade and face are rectangular in plan and flare outwards towards the blade tips, and the mouth appears to be circular in section. No decoration was visible. It measures 100mm long, 36-40mm wide and is 15-26mm thick. A catalogue of socketed axes can be found in Schmidt, P. and Burgess, C. 1981. The Axes of Scotland and Northern Ireland, p172-250.

Incomplete copper-alloy La Tene I type brooch, Iron Age (4th century BC – 2nd century BC). Brooch consists of part of an incomplete spring, the bow and the foot, the remainder of the spring, the pin and the terminal are missing. No decoration is visible and little of the original surface appears to have survived. All break edges are worn. It measures 53mm long, 14mm wide, is 2.5mm thick and weighs 4.8g. Medieval copper alloy buckle, incomplete, mid 14th to early 15th century. The buckle consists of an oval frame and integral forked spacer. The sheet plates and pin are missing but two rivets have survived. The frame is bevelled and has a triangular shaped lip. Buckle has a dark green patina with patches of light green. It measures 52mm long, 26mm wide, is 0.4mm thick and weighs 7.8g. Similar buckles with forked spacers can be found in Egan, G. and Pritchard, F. 1991. A solid copper-alloy toggle, probably late Iron Age in date. The toggle is cylindrical in shape with two flattened circular terminals at each end. Beyond each terminal is a waisted neck which leads to a swollen middle section with a waisted transverse groove running around its centre. The remains of a loop project out from this middle section and its break edges are worn. The original surface has partially survived as a dull green patina but all other surfaces are a light green. Post-medieval copper-alloy mount in the form of an acorn, c. 17th century. The mount is complete, flat and acorn-shaped with a single protruding knop at the top of the acorn and two at the bottom. The shell of the acorn also has a cross-hatched decoration. The reverse is plain and contains two lugs, one of which is lost and the other is bent. Very little of the original surface has survived.
