A fragment of a Roman cast copper alloy bow brooch (circa 43-410). The foot, the terminal and the catch plate and the lower part of the bow are present. The foot comprises a small turned globular terminal. There is a triangular catchplate and the bow is rectangular with a hemispherical cross-section. There are two linear grooves along the length of the bow. The breaks are worn and the whole object is in fair condition with green patination. The object is 35.14mm long, 5.38mm wide, 1.97mm wide and weighs 3.12grammes.

A complete, possibly Roman, cast copper alloy bezel ring (circa 43-410), The ring has a flat oval face which shows signs of silvering on its surface - face measures 8mm X 6mm. Behind the face, on the flank there is a hole which appears to have been cast but the purpose of this is unknown. The sloping bezel shaped shoulders of the ring decrease in thickness from the oval face to where the ring itself circles the finger and this circle decreases in thickness (maybe wear) towards where the palm of the hand and the finger crease together. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Late Hallstatt brooch dating to the Middle Iron Age, c. 450-300 BC. Hawkes and Hull Hallstatt D Group L. The brooch is incomplete with the foot and catchplate missing. The plain wings are apparently complete, with a median groove, and it has a very broad hollow-backed bow. On the reverse of the head there is a horizontal lug for a hinged pin. This aperture is now filled with iron corrosion, the remains of the spring. The surviving measurements are 33mm in length, with a wingspan of 20mm. The width of the bow is 14mm. Weighs 17g.

An iron cannon ball of post-medieval (probably English Civil War) date (1600-1700AD). The cannonball is sub-spherical with a diameter of c. 3.08 inches or 78.2mm. It weighs 1.926 kilograms (4.4lbs). It is made of iron which has been cast with a visible seam . There is a circular indentation on one side (or base) 1.25inches or 31.7mm diameter with a raised roughly circular area in the middle of this c. .47 inches or 12mm diameter. A cast copper alloy D shaped buckle dating from the early medieval period, AD900-1100. It has some elements of the Ringerike style and is probably Anglo-Scandinavian or Viking. It has a broad, flat frame and a narrowed strap bar. Medieval copper alloy belt mount of 'crowned head' or 'king's head' type. It is cast in the form of the head and shoulders of a man with incised and relief features. It has a slightly raised nose, deeply gashed mouth and eyes and a jagged crown looking almost like sun rays. Projections to each side of the head suggest curled hair. A separate copper-alloy rivet makes a round mark in the centre of the forehead, and there is another in the centre of the chest between the shoulders. A complete cast lead probable palm guard of post-medieval date. The palm guard is roughly oval in plan with a slightly concave reverse and a small projection on one corner. The curved or convex obverse side has two small circular depressions. The object may have been used to protect the palm from the force of using awls and punches in an industry such as leatherworking. The metal is a mid pink/greyish-brown colour. The palm guard is 99.88mm long, 56.35mm wide, 7.8mm thick and weighs 306g.

A cast copper-alloy stirrup-strap mount of Williams' Class A type 11A. The mount is triangular in plan with a circular rivet hole at the top, now encrusted with iron corrosion on the reverse. The mount is quite worn but it has a raised outer border, within which is a rampant beast, similar to a lion or dog facing left, with its head thrown back in a howl and its right foreleg raised. One complete half of a Post-Medieval (1500-1650) copper alloy two-part toggle clasp (eye section) of Read Type5, from a sword belt of 16th to 17th century date. This fitting is all case-in-one and comprises a curvilinear main body with three lobed projections at each side and a small circular raised projection at one end decorated with a clockwise impeller. An incomplete copper-alloy/bronze rotary key of Medieval date with green patination. The bow, and possibly a portion of the shaft is missing from the end of the circular-sectioned stem. This stem has a hollow tip. The bit has two mirror image sections with two clefts to both the top and side edges extending approx. 5mm from the top edge and 3mm from the sides, with a central division approx. 18mm deep with a bridge between the two halves at approx.8mm from the top.

Two fragments of Late Iron Age to early Roman copper alloy Langton Down brooches which were found in the same field. Both fragments consist of part of a spring case coering the upper bow with a rectangular and curved bow. The bow is decorated with a series of vertical depressions running its length. The larger fragment is 20mm long, 14.75mm wide and 8.5mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition and weighs 2.43grams. The smaller fragment measures 15mm long, 14.25mm wide and 10.4mm thick.
