A copper-alloy Roman barbarous radiate, dating to c. AD 275-285 (Reece Period 14). Reverse type depicts a large swastika and either missing or illegible legend.
This reverse type doesn't exist in the official coinage of the Gallic emperor and therefore is an invention on the forger's part. In ancient times, the swastika was a symbol of good fortune. Such a design is highly unusual on barbarous radiates. A similar specimen was sold on eBay in March 2015.

It is possible to see traces of a radiate bust facing right on the obverse and a linear design, perhaps a standing figure and altar on the reverse. However, due to the severe surface damage it is impossible to determine either legend and for whom the coin was issued.

An extremely worn copper alloy Roman radiate coin of unknown 3rd century ruler. It is likely that this coin was a 'barbarous radiate' issued during either the 3rd century Gallic or Britannic Empire (c. 260-296) due to the attributes and diminutive size of the radiate bust on the obverse, facing right. The remains of the obverse legend read: [...]ES [...]. The reverse is in a very poor state and nothing has been retained to aid in positive identification.
