A fragment of a silver Finger Ring of Roman date (AD 100-300). Henig Type VIII. The fragment is the bezel portion and takes the form of one oval and one circular plate with the oval being larger than the circular plate. The hoop and half of the bezel are missing due to old and abraded breaks. The complete form of the object is likely to have been a D shaped section with the bezel comprising a circular plate flanked by two ovals. A gold finger ring. A narrow hoop with D-shaped cross section, expanding slightly towards the bezel. The bezel is square with a black gem or glass setting (damaged). The reverse of the bezel is fluted, radiating from the centre. Exterior surface of band contains lenend in gold set with pale green enamel background. A fragment of a Post-medieval silver dress pin of the bodkin type (AD 1600-1700). The object is rectangular-sectioned with slightly convex sides, tapering gradually from the pointed upper end to the blunt lower end. The upper and lower ends are missing due to an old break, only the rectangular slot and a small section of the lower portion of the shaft are retained. The lower end of the object tapers inwards. A complete copper alloy dress fastener with blue and black enamel. There are 4 attachment loops, one of which is very worn and the edge is broken. The rectangular loop shows signs of wear. There is a simple, blunt ornamental knop. The reverse is pitted and slightly concave. The decoration is a central male bust, facing left, surrounded by foliate lines and swirls following the oval shape of the object.
