A Post medieval cast copper alloy double loop buckle frame. The frame has two oval loops which have a flat back and curved outer side, the inner side is bevelled so the back of the loops is wider than the front. There are large lozenge shaped knops at the centre of each loop and at each end of the very narrowed strap bar. The pin is missing.there is a moulded design of a flower in the center of each loop and worn moulded decoration on the remainder of the loops and at the end of the narrow strap bar. An incomplete Post medieval cast copper alloy double loop rectangular buckle frame (16th - 17th century). One loop is complete but 90% of the other is missing. The complete loop is square with the outer edge extended into a point; the outer side is bevelled all the way around the loop. The strap bar is narrowed and there are knops at either end. The buckle half measures 19.5mm long, 17.2mm wide and 1.3mm thick; it weighs 1.4 grams. Whitehead (2003) illustrates a similar frame, p. 82 ref. 511, which he dates to c.1620-1680 AD.

An incomplete medieval to post medieval cast copper alloy annular buckle frame with center bar (14th - 17th century). the pin is missing. the outside is bevelled all the way around the frame. The strap bar is narrowed. The buckle measures 23.1mm long, 23.6 mm wide and 2.3mm thick; it weighs 3.4 grams. Whitehead (2003) illustrates a similar frame, p. 45 ref. 256, which he dates to c.1350-1650 AD.

A cast copper alloy double looped buckle length 28.1mm, width 20.1mm, thickness 1.6 mm, weight 2.3 g. Asymmetrical frame with one trapezoidal loop and one semi-circular loop. There are knops at the end of the strap bar between the loops. The surface of the frame has traces of a mid green patina and is tinned. A simular buckle is shown in Whitehead (2003) page 91 no 564 which he dates to c.1575-1700 AD.

A post medieval, incomplete cast copper alloy single loop sub-rectangular buckle with extended, splayed feet which have lobed knops on the end. It has a narrowed, recessed, circular sectioned strap bar. The sides of the frame are D shaped in section with a flat inner side and are expanded and thickened at the ends of the strap bar and slightly where they meet the outer edge. It measures 13.11 mm in diameter,4.44 mm thick and weighs 4.2 grams. The obverse of the token has a raised design of bird standing on a branch of a tree with twigs to each side and leaves above it in the field and a raised border around the edge of the token. The reverse is blank. It is unusually large, 32.04 mm in diameter, 1.33mm thick and weighs 9.3 grams. The pin is missing but iron concretions around the strap bar could be the remains of an iron pin. The buckle is 28.9mm long, 22.7 mm wide and 1.7 mm thick; it weighs 3.4 grams. A post Medieval cast copper alloy asymmetrical buckle with one rectangular and one D shaped loop. The outer edge of the D shaped loop is slightly narrrower and the strap bar is narrowed. It measure 24.79 mm in lenth, 18.87 mm wide and is 2.04 mm thick. It weighs 1.9 grams. Whitehead (2003) illustrates a similar, simple, buckle (page 90, no.561) which he dates to c.1575-1700 AD

A cast copper alloy single looped buckle frame. The D-shaped loop has a narrowed and offset strap bar with the top and bottom sides extending beyond the strap bar. There is a pin recess on the loop and a number of parallel incised lines also decorate the frame. The reverse is undecorated. The buckle frame is complete. And there is iron staining from the remains of the pin. The buckle is a dark brownish-green colour and the surface is quite pitted. A cast copper alloy double looped buckle frame, only one loop of the buckle survives with its pin. There are moulded knops at either end of the strap bar. There is no pin recess. The buckle is undecorated. The pin is made of copper alloy sheet cut into a rectangular shape and wrapped around the strap bar. The buckle is a dark reddish-brown colour and the surface is quite pitted. The buckle 22.99 mm in lenth 18.01 mm in width 2.68 mm thick and 3.4 g in weight. These buckles date from circa 1500-1650 AD. Parallels for this type of buckle can be seen in Whitehead, 2003, p54

A Post Medieval cast copper alloy double loop buckle only two thirds of the buckle survive. The buckle frame has one oval loop with flat back and bevelled outer sides on the front; the other loop is incomplete . The outer edge of the loop is slightly widened and has a lozenge shape at the centre, one half of the lozenge projecting, the other indicated by incised line.
