A silver Irish issue James I shilling, c. 1603 - 1607 AD. Irish issues are slightly smaller than their English counterparts in weight, size and value. The obverse shows a crowned portrait facing to the right, with a small, neat pointed beard with the inscription JACOBUS.DG.MAG.BRIT .FRA.ET.HIB .REX (James by the grace of God King of Great Britain France and Ireland). The reverse shows a large crown above an Irish harp with the inscription HENRICUS . ROSAS. REGNA. IACOBAS (Henry united the roses James the Kingdom). Second issue - Mint mark: Martlet - Rose Mint - Tower Mint - London.

Elizabeth 1st three pence, c 1580 – 1582 AD. Fourth issue. Obverse - Crowned bust of Queen, rose behind head; Reverse - Long Cross over Royal shield, dated c 1580 AD over top of shield There is an additional unusual feature to both the obverse, and reverse of the coin On the Obverse there is an additional Cross on top of the crown that breaks through the pelleted border. An Edward III gold Noble , Treaty period type , c 1361 – 1369 AD. Obverse - King Holding Sword and sheild in ship. Reverse - E in the centre of cross , annulet at corner of central cross. A very worn cut penny of John, c 1199 – 1216 AD. Class: 6a 2 The letter X in Rex is now formed from two strokes with rounded ends and set at right angles to each other. With the obverse legend still reading HENRICUS REX, with the reverse having the moneyer’s name and mint around a small cross with four pellets in each quarter.
