A Prehistoric flint tool. The tool is long and narrow with a triangular cross-section. There are some patches of cortex remaining on the dorsal surface and the butt. There is also some edge damage. A Prehistoric, possibly Bronze age flint tool. The removals have created a lozenge-shaped tool with a longer point on the working end. The working end has a triangular cross-section and a blunt tip. There is an area of cortex surviving on the one side near the butt. Jon Cotton describes this as a nosed piece with abrupt retouch. honey coloured flint. A Palaeolithic flint biface dating 400,000 - 10,000BC. This biface is triangular in plan with a rounded butt and rounded tip. There is some irregularity in the flint at the butt which seems to be eroded fossils. Flake removal scars cover both the dorsal and ventral surfaces. Approximately midway along the left hand edge there is curved indent with further retouch which has been worked from the dorsal surface. There is also some more modern edge damage.
