An incomplete Post Medieval iron candle holder, probably dating 17th - early 18th century. The object consists of a beam with a wax pan attached. One end of the beam acts as a handle, with the end tapering slightly before widening again to form a rounded terminal. The beam splits into two parts, protruding outwards on both sides to form a circular shape, before coming back together again. The beam then tapers to form a spike, probably for attachment into timber, part of which is now missing due to corrosion. A medieval iron spoon auger probably dating to the 13th or 14th century. The spoon auger was used for boring or enlarging holes in wood. This example appears to be complete and may have been part of a set of varying sizes. The shaft is approximately circular in cross section and widens away upward with sloping shoulders before tapering to form a flattened, wedge-shaped tang. This would have been set transversely in a wooden handle, allowing the auger to be rotated. A post medieval iron plate armour dating to the 16th century. This is a sheet of iron cut into a rectangular shape with angled corners. The plate is slightly curved in profile. There are four rivets arranged along the longer mid line, the rivets have domed heads. One corner is broken and missing. A medieval iron kidney or ballock dagger with a small portion of the wooden handle surviving, dating AD1335-1600. This dagger has a long tapering, single-edged blade with a triangular cross section, the point is broken and missing. There is some corrosion on the blade that is obscuring any maker's mark. There is a shaped iron quillon plate to which the wooden "kidney's" are attached; only one is still surviving. The strap end has been decoratively made so the central section is a pointed oval with a tear-drop shaped terminal, there are two ridges at the junction between the body and the terminal. The knife has been heavily used and resharpened reducing the length to 45mm. There is a step in the blade on the left hand surface creating a flat section that has not been sharpened. A post medieval incomplete iron key probably dating 17th - 18th century. This key has an oval bow with an internal projection from the distal edge. The stem has bead and reel mouldingapproximately 15mm from the bow; it also has a swelling just before the bit and a circumferential groove at the proximal tip of the stem. The bit is incomplete but originally it was probably symmetric. The bit is rectangular with a smaller T-shaped perforation just below the stem and this connects with a large T-shaped perforation that extends to the end of the bit. One side of the horseshoe is missing, it is broken across one of the three square holes that are arranged on each side of this horseshoe. These holes were for square-headed nails. A Post Medieval iron toggle clasp from a sword belt, dating 16th - 17th century. This is a Read Type 7 toggle section from a toggle clasp on a sword belt. It was decoratively cast in one piece with an oval central section and a circular projection at one end. The reverse is concave. There are two rivet holes with the rivets still in situ; one through the circular section and one through the centre of the oval section. The tang tapers slightly (from 15mm to 7mm) towards the end and has a rectangular cross-section. The end of the tang has been hammered flat against the handle that is no longer present.
