An incomplete Roman silver finger ring dating 3rd - 4th century AD. The finger ring has an oval raised bezel with decorative angular shoulders. The gem stone or glass setting is missing from the bezel but there are the remains of a white cement surviving. The angular shoulders are decorated with three stamped chevrons. The band has a rounded triangular cross-section and the profile of the finger ring shows the band forming an oval. There is a crack through the band opposite the centre of the bezel. A Post Medieval gold posy finger ring dating 16th - 17th century. This finger ring is a plain, thin band with a D-shaped cross section. There is an inscription on the inner surface that reads BE x NOT x IDEIL, the I and the L are joined together by the upper and lower cross bars on the I, it is possible it is BE x NOT x IDELL. A middle Bronze Age copper alloy rapier dating 1500-1150 BC. This rapier has the characteristic thin narrow blade that expands to form a plate with rounded end and two rivet holes for attachment to the hilt. There is a slight notch just below the rivet hole on each side. The blade has a flattened, broad central mid rib. The blade is bent so that it now forms a gentle curve when viewed in profile. A late Iron Age – early Roman copper alloy toggle (100BC – 100AD). This is a looped toggle with flattened knob-like terminals. The body is decorated with moulded ribs along the length creating a ridge and groove appearance. Toggles like this example probably fulfilled the same function as the button and loop fasteners which they preceded. They are likely to have been used both for horse harness and for human clothing. A Roman copper alloy two-piece Colchester derivative, double lug brooch (AD 43-80). The brooch has a plate at the back of the head which is pierced twice; the axis bar for the spring would pass through the lower hole and the chord through the upper; nothing of the spring of pin remains. The plate with the two holes extends over the head looking like a hook and continues as a short decorative ridge. The catchplate has is solid and incomplete. The bow has a D-shaped cross-section.
