A silver washed copper alloy contemporary forgery of a later medieval coin - most probably a half-groat of Edward III (AD 1327-1377) Fourth Coinage (AD 1351-61) Series D-F (1352-56). This assumption is made at the cusps of the tressures of the arches on the obverse do not have lis or trefoil terminals. The flan of the coin itself has been reduced to the size of a penny
