Cast copper alloy strap fitting, belt slide, of probable early Roman date (50 - 200AD). The strap fitting is broadly rectangular in plan but has been heavily eroded in the ploughsoil. It comprises a rectangular front plate decorated with four vertical ribs each with a single incised line on its apex. The reverse face has a staple like hasp projecting from two rectangular studs positioned on the upper and lower edges. A gilded cast copper alloy handle / drawer pull or mount of probable later post medieval date 1600 - 1800. The handle is circular in plan with a undulating external edge; it is domed in cross section. The upper surface is divided by even cast lines into 12 regular segments. The reverse is concave with a central projection emanating from the mid-point. The surface is heavily worn but would have once been gilded, the mount has a poorly preserved thick mid-green coloured surface which has eroded in many places to a mid-brown coloured corroded metal.

Cast lead alloy token of uncertain but probably post medieval date (1500 - 1650). The obverse face depicts a stylised 'Tudor' rose whilst the reverse shows a standing figure with outstretched arm - possibly holding a falcon / bird. The external edge of the token is raised and there is a distinct outer rim present. The token is incomplete having been broken through plough damage on one edge. It is a mid-grey cream colour with a well formed surface patina. A direct parallel has not been found.
The token measures: 31.7mm length 28.5mm width is 3.3mm thick and weighs 13.74 grams.

A small silvered and gilt cast copper alloy sword belt mount dating to the later Early Medieval period (9th Century). The mount is rectangular in plan and cross section. The reverse face is rough cast with an uneven surface from which emanates four broken stubs; these are the remains of small projecting spikes which would have secured the mount to a scabbard or sword belt. A large lead alloy artefact of unknown function and date. The lead is broadly rectangular in shape with one slightly pointed end, in cross section it is rectangular with a circumferential groove running around the edge in places. Given the size and unusual H shaped cross section it is possibly it maybe a large stopper or possibly a pot mend.
The artefact measures: 63.4mm length, 31.8mm width, 9.6mm thick and weighs 107.40grams

Cast lead or lead alloy decorated spindle whorl of Roman to Post Medieval date (1 - 1650 AD); most probably medieval date (AD 1300-1550). The spindle whorl is sub-circular in plan and bi-convex in profile. Both the upper and lower faces have a cast rim around the exterior edge / rim and also a similar ridge around the circumference of the inner hole. The central hole is broadly circular and has been cast / set slightly off centre. The diameter of the hole measures 9.1mm. An abraded knapped, ground and polished axe-head of probable later Neolithic date (2900-2100 BC). The axe is knapped from a dark grey buff volcanic tuff which weathers to a mid light grey colour. This rock type is formed from compressed volcanic ash and has a fine grained composition with infrequent crystalline inclusions. A single part from a cast copper alloy swivel strap fitting of medieval date (1050-1450). The extant part is one - probably the lower half of two linked D shaped loops which swivel on an integrally cast bar. The fitting is D shaped in plan and irregular (broadly D shaped) in cross section. Cast copper alloy two part buckle of post medieval date 1660-1720. The buckle frame is rectangular in plan and sub-rectangular in cross section. The frame is bowed in profile. It is thickened at the mid point to take a drilled iron spindle which would have held the cast metal pin and chape - all of which are lost. The frame is decorated with debased trefoils at the corners and horizontal and vertical ribs on the sides. The exterior edge is serrated with an undulating pattern of rounded knops. A cast copper alloy commemorative Medallion of Charles I struck by James and Norbert Roettiers (born 1663 and 1665 respectively) at the Mint in the Tower of London. The medallion was probably made at some point after 1680 and could be bought at various London booksellers and cutlers - as advertised in 1695. The type is relatively common but is very unusual to be found as a casual loss.

The firearm is incomplete and is irregular in plan and profile. It is also bent through movement in the soil. The barrel has an irregular oval faceted shape which extends into an ornately shaped irregular stock. The stock is incomplete with the butt of the musket being lost. It seems that it was cast in one piece being broadly D shaped in plan and a faceted D shape in cross section. The two bosses conjoin at their inner point to create a hoop.
