A complete cast lead spindle whorl, dating from the Medieval - Post Medieval period, between AD 1400 - 1600 (diameter: 25.5mm; thickness: 8mm; weight: 26.4g). This spindle whorl is circular in plan and bi-conical in section with a central circular drilled hole (diameter of hole: 8.5mm) for the probable wooden spindle to run through. The artefact appears to be faintly decorated on both sides with possible linear and pellet decoration, although the artefact is too worn to identify this clearly. The spindle whorl is in a worn and poor condition.

The axe fragment is sub-square in plan and ovoid in section. The narrowed tip of the artefact is all that remains and has numerous arrises on the surface where it has been extensively worked.
