A medieval to post-medieval copper-alloy mount. The mount comprises a broadly square plate with a hollow hemisphere (two of which are damaged) at the centre of each side. A rivet with sub-hemispherical head sits within a hole at the centre of this plate, with the truncation of its projecting shank suggesting it served a purely decorative function. A second such rivet survives, located with one of the four holes that occupy the corners of the plate. The shank of this second rivet has been bent towards the underside of the plate and almost certainly served to fix the mount in place. …

A Mesolithic microburin which has been made from a tertiary flint blade. The sub-rectangular tool has several arises on its dorsal surface and clear rippling on the ventral. A Neolithic to Bronze Age flint scraper. The scraper has been made from a secondary flake and is of unusual form, being crescentic. The flake's striking platform is located at the base of the scraper, with a bulb-of-percussion below, and all of the retouch is to the ventral surface. A rim sherd from an Oxfordshire Roman white-ware mortarium. The abraded sherd has a bead and a right-angled flange. The fabric is yellowish-white with a light pink core and is sand-tempered, with occasional larger, brown inclusions. The two surviving trituration grits are of rounded pink and white quartz respectively. Length: 34.7mm; height: 23mm. Weight: 15.4g. Oxfordshire white-ware mortaria were produced from AD c. 100 until the late 4th century (Tyers 1996: 129). The form of this piece is similar to Young type M12 (ibid. fig. 128).
