An incomplete copper-alloy jetton, dating from the Medieval period. The obverse of this jetton has a depiction of the mitred bust of a bishop, who faces to the right and holds a crozier; the reverse has a short cross with quatrefoil ends. No published parallel could be found for this jetton; however, it would appear to be of English manufacture and a crude copy of a type seen in PAS records BH-BD5521 and HAMP3017. A fragment of a Middle Bronze Age palstave. The piece, which represents the top of the implement, is wedge-shaped, its thickness gradually decreasing towards the rounded apex. Parts of the right-angled side flanges can be seen on both the front and back of the piece. The break is well patinated, indicating that the damage occurred in antiquity. Part of a Roman copper-alloy trumpet-derivative brooch. The uppermost surviving element is a short length of the upper bow, at the top of which is a well patinated break. Beneath this, two transverse ridges flank a wider and deeper central moulding, the surface of which has been decorated by means of a series of vertical incisions. A post-Medieval copper-alloy strap mount. The mount takes the form of a two-dimensional representation of an acorn, the nut protruding from the wider shell below, tapering towards its distal end, where there is a knop. Cross-hatched grooves cover the convex upper surface of the shell, a transverse ridge marks its upper limit and there is a short length of stalk projecting from the base. A copper-alloy horse harness pendant of medieval date. The shield-shaped pendant bears an enamelled design in which the arms of England are to dexter and impale a family crest. The exact blazon is as follows: Gules three lions passant guardant [Or] impaling Sable an eagle displayed Or. Much of the red and black enamel has been lost to corrosion, as has most of the gilding. Part of an Iron Age copper-alloy brooch, probably of La Tene type 1B, dating from the 4th to late 3rd century BC. The arched bow is of 'D-shaped' section, its outer surfaces (but not the central area) 'pecked' to produce a scale-like effect. At the top, the bow tapers towards the now-missing spring; at the bottom, it bends at a right angle, extending into a vertical foot, which has been flattened and has a pin groove in its upper surface. A Roman copper-alloy plate brooch. The plate is of flat section and roughly lozenge-shaped, having deeply concave sides and top and bottom points which bifurcate into a pair of lobes. The centre of the plate is occupied by a circular setting in which two concentric ridges and interspersing grooves surround a central aperture.
