An incomplete Roman copper-alloy bow-and-fantail brooch (AD 50-150). Parts of the wings, axis bar and catch-plate are missing due to breaks. The pin is also missing. The wings, width 31.0mm, are sub-cylindrical in cross-section and taper in width and thickness from the centre to the outer ends. Close to the bow, the wings measure c. 4.8 x 4.8mm. An incomplete Medieval to post-Medieval lead alloy possible token (c. 1400-c. 1800). The object is circular in plan, moulded at the front and flat and plain at the rear. At the front the design is in the form of a shield with a long cross within. The design is similar to the Arms of the City of London. However, there is an apparent sword in the third quarter as well as the first quarter. This object is greyish buff and has a deliberate cut or chop mark at about 5 o' clock. Length: 30.2mm; width: 28.3mm; thickness: 2.8mm. Weight: 14.01g.
