An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1350-c. 1400). The pin and plate are missing. The front is convex and the rear is flat. Each loop is similar in size and shape. Both expanded outside edges are similar although one is slightly larger than the other. At the front the outside edges have multiple transverse grooves. The central bar is triangular in cross-section and has traces of iron staining. This buckle frame is greenish brown with traces of a white metal coating at the front and rear. A complete Medieval copper-alloy bar mount (c. 1350-c. 1400). This mount is convex at the front and flat at the rear. It has two arms tapering from a central lobe. At the front the lobe is cross-hatched. Each arm tapers to a rounded terminal that is pierced with a circular hole to accommodate a rivet. The holes are countersunk at the rear. The mount is green with flecks of a darker green patina. Length: 23.5mm; width: 9.8mm; thickness at lobe: 4.8mm. Weight: 2.38g.
