Total weight of sherds 218.97g.(includes some soil adhering to the surfaces). This incomplete part of the vessel consists of base and lower body sherds (15 sherds in total). A sherd of a Medieval ceramic flagon consisting of part of the handle and rim. Probably thirteenth to fourteenth century. Length: 77.0mm; width: 62.3mm; weight: 72.91g. This coarse ware sherd is a strap-handle with part of the rim. The handle has a central longitudinal rib and the edges of the handle are raised moulded at the front. A fragment of a ceramic vessel of Medieval date (c. AD 1250 - c. AD 1450). Lemgth: 37.0mm; width: 21.8mm and 6.2mm thick. Weight: 6.73g. This coarseware sherd is tempered with crushed flint and rounded sand. Each face is reddish brown (Munsell Color 5YR 4/4) and the core is greyish. The curvature in one plane, indicates that it is from a fairly large vessel. All the breaks appear to be old and no other sherds were found close to the find-spot.

An incomplete post-Medieval ceramic skillet (c. 1550-c. 1700). This shallow vessel has a complete solid handle, circular in cross-section, with a circular button-like terminal. Flanked on either side of the handle, where it joins the body of the vessel, there is a thumb or finger impression. The inner olive green glazed face has a rectangular depression in line with the handle. The fabric has a high sand content and is yellowish red (Munsell Color: 5YR 5/6). The find was located in the inter-tidal zone, close to HWM and all the breaks are abraded. 138.0 x 95.0mm. 290.83g.

A complete strap-handle from a coarse-ware ceramic jug or flagon of Roman date (c. AD 43-c. 100). At the top a small part of the rim is intact and at the base part of the body survives. The fabric is greyish buff and tempered with rounded flint and other unidentifiable material. The handle is convex on the inside and has a longitudinal groove on the outer face. A rim sherd of a Roman New Forest Ware globular beaker (c. AD 320-c. 350). The sherd comprises part of the rim and shoulder of the vessel. The Fine Ware fabric is greyish/off-white and is colour coated. Dividing the rim from the shoulder, there is an in incised line below is a single incised wavy line. All this decoration would have extended around the vessel circumferentially. The break are old and abraded as a result of being in the mobile environment of the inter-tidal zone. 44.5 x 39.0 x 5.8mm.
