An incomplete Roman copper-alloy Colchester derivative bow brooch (c. AD 100-c. 200).
The lower part of the bow is missing and the pin is largely missing.
The wings are fully enclosed and circular in cross-section although they are slightly flattened at the rear (diameter: 5.4mm). There is a rectangular slot at the rear to accommodate the pin loop. This token has a raised design, similar in style to a merchant's mark or monogram. It consists of ligated letters, possibly 'I S' or 'S I'. The rear face appears to be plain but may have had a design before becoming worn.

The pin is missing.
The frame is convex at the front and flat at the rear. Each loop is ‘D’-shaped in plan and similar in size. The loops are angled upwards from the bar. One is at about 10° and the other at about 20°. An incomplete Medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy closed heavy duty thimble of 'beehive' type (c. 1400-c. 1550).
The sides are slightly curved and have ten turns of spiralling circular indentations. These spiral clockwise from the rim to the centre of the top. The rim is unthickened and has a cirumferential groove beneath the indentations. There are no marks relating to the manufacturing process.
It has a dull green patina and the break is old.

One ring is misshapen, smaller than the other and is oval in cross-section. The larger ring is pointed-oval in cross-section and is inscribed: SWORD MAKER with crossed swords: (crossed swords) SWORD (crossed swords) MAKER. The words and swords are on both faces. Both rings have the remains of black lacquer or enamel.

A complete post-Medieval silver pressed cufflink element or button (c. 1725-c. 1800).
This single element is octagonal in plan, convex at the front and concave at the rear. The edge is down-turned. It has a soldered silver wire attachment loop at the rear which is intact broken. At the front, engraved decoration consists of a scalloped and grooved octagonal border close to the edge. In the centre is a flower head (possibly a rose) with four main petals alternately with four smaller petals or calyx.
