Prior to distortion the frame would have been oval in plan with an off-set narrowed bar. The outer edge is expanded and recessed to accommodate a copper-alloy sheet roller on which the pin-tip would have rested. The bar is irregular in cross-section. An Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged flint arrowhead (c. 2500 BC- c. 1500 BC). This arrowhead has been made on a tertiary flake. It is broadly sub-triangular in plan and lentoid in cross-section. The arrowhead has been knapped using both direct and indirect percussion techniques. Both faces have received about the same amount of knapping. Openwork is formed by 'interwoven' 'rope work' with a motif resembling a stylised scallop shell or frond at the corner. The object is mainly covered with a green patina on both faces. It is flat on both faces and has an old transverse break on the stem. The metal is reddish brown and has patches of a green patina. The break is old. An incomplete cast copper alloy mount of Post-Medieval, seventeenth century date (AD 1600 - AD 1700). Diameter: 11.2mm, thickness: 3.1mm. Weight: 0.88g. The mount is circular in plan and the front face has moulded decoration in the form of a flower-head motif, possibly a rose which has five outer petals, five inner petals and a central pellet. The rear face is flat and plain except for the remains of two off-centre integral spikes. A patina has not survived and the surface colour of the metal is reddish or is covered with superficial copper alloy corrosion products.
