An incomplete pendant of probable Roman date (AD 43 – AD 410). Length: 36.9mm; width: 16.8mm and 6.3mm thick. Weight: 3.23g.
The main body of the pendant is roughly heart-shaped and has a maximum width of 16.8mm. The front face is very slightly convex and the rear face is flat. At the top, on the centre-line, there is an incomplete integral loop turned through 90° to the body. When complete, the loop would have been roughly circular (as viewed form the side). Just below the loop and to each side of it, on the main body, there is an oblique groove sloping towards the centre line. …

Site scatter of 35 Roman coins.
Circumstance of Discovery
35 Roman coins were found by The Isle of Wight Metal Detecting Club in West Wight, in the Isle of Wight at a small local rally 8 April 2007. They came from an area of grass (which was sown 8 years previously) 50m by 50m and were originally submitted as potential treasure to the Finds Liaison Officer, Frank Basford.
