A Medieval to post-Medieval cast copper-alloy vessel suspension lug, probably for a drop-handle (c. 1450-c. 1550).
The lug is sub-oval in plan and rectangular in cross-section. It has a sub-oval perforation (7.2 x 6.3mm) to accommodate a handle. There is a collar at one end and a short stubby rivet beyond. Grooves at either side emphasise the collar.
This lug is corroded and has traces of a mid-green patina. A small number of file marks are present and these are only visible on the patinated surfaces. The shape of the perforation may indicate that it has worn while in use.

An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy vessel handle (c. 1600-c. 1700).
The object may be part of a tankard handle. It is curved in side view and the shape probably represents a dolphin. It has a small projection which may be part of a thumb-rest which would have been soldered to a tankard lid.
It has traces of brown patina and the recesses have a red deposit in places which is possibly the remains of a decorative material.
