An almost complete Medieval copper-alloy 'Shield of France' jetton, c. 1400-1478.
Not listed in Mitchiner, but for close parallels see, for example, Mitchiner (1988): 225-230.
Obverse: + (cross pattée) AVE (crown) MARIA (rosette) GRACIA; Shield of France bearing three lis within an inner circle, pellets above shield.
Reverse: A triple stranded straight cross fleuretty within a quatrefoil, an annulet in each outer angle.

An incomplete Medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy leg from a tripod vessel (c. 1250-c. 1650).
The leg is sub-rectangular in plan and sub-triangular in cross-section, flat at the back. The sides are straight when viewed from the front. The front has a prominent central longitudinal rib with ribs either side. The base is worn through use.
This leg has a dull green patina and flecks of consolidated soot. Shallow 'scratch' marks can be seen close to one long edge at the rear. The transverse break is old.

A complete Medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy leg from a tripod vessel (c. 1250-c. 1650).
The leg is sub-triangular in plan and cross-section, flat at the back. The sides of the leg are slightly convex when viewed from the front. The front has three longitudinal ribs, one at the centre and one at either side. The broken top is part of the inner surface of the vessel. The base is worn through use.
This leg is drab dark grey with patches of consolidated soot. The inner surface has a green patina and the break is old.

A complete post-Medieval copper-alloy mount or stud (c. 1500-c. 1700).
The head of this multifoil (octofoil) mount is decorated with eight evenly spaced petals with a pellet at the outer end of each petal. There is a larger pellet at the centre. The rear face is flat except for the central tapering spike which is square in cross-section.
The stud is drab green and corroded overall.
Maximum diameter: 18.0mm; thickness: 2.0mm; thickness including spike: 12.8mm. Weight: 2.73g.

A complete but squashed post-Medieval copper-alloy closed thimble (c. 1600-c. 1700).
The thimble has straight sides and a domed top. The rim is very slightly thickened and there is a plain zone above the rim. Decoration is divided between two circumferential ‘ropework’ bands. The upper band divides the top from the sides. The decoration is formed by two octafoils with spreading leaves or foliage. An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy mount (c. 1600-c. 1700).
The mount is an elongated sub-triangular shape in plan. It is flat at the front and rear. In plan, it is pointed at one end and has a knop at the opposite end. Close to the pointed end there is a small pointed knop at each side. At the rear there are two integral tapering spikes which are circular in cross-section. One is complete and the tip of the other is missing.
