A clipped and worn Medieval silver penny of Henry IV (1399-1413), minted at Durham under Bishop Thomas Langley. Light Coinage, 1412-1413 (North 1991: 67, ref: 1365).
Obverse: +hE[nRIC REX An]GLIE, Crowned bust facing with a trefoil on the breast.
Reverse: CIVI/TA[S/DVn/]Olm (saltire before CIVI, pellet before TAS), Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant.
Diameter: 17.7mm. Weight 0.78g. DA=12:9.
