A complete Medieval cast copper-alloy stud (c. 1300-c. 1500). This stud is moulded at the front and hollow at the rear and in plan it is in the form of a quatrefoil. Each foil is divided by a narrow lobe which extends to the edge. The rear face has a central integral tapering spike which is square in cross-section. A casting seam joins the spike with one of the sides. It is dull green with small areas of corrosion. Length: 24.08mm; width: 23.07mm; thickness: 8.15mm; thickness including spike: 15.42mm. Weight: 12.12g.

A complete late post-Medieval or Modern cast copper-alloy clog or shoe clasp (c. 1790 - c. 1930). The clasp has parallel sides. One end is rounded and the other end has a straight transverse edge. The rounded end has an integral re-curved 'anchor'-shaped hook. The clasp is corroded and in poor condition. It has been stamped on the inside to create small rectangular raised motifs on the outside. Length: 24.7mm; width: 11.9mm; thickness: 1.0mm. Weight: 0.95g.. A fragment of a Late Early-Medieval (Anglo-Scandinavian) to Early Medieval cast copper-alloy harness link (c. 1000-c. 1100). This object is one loop of a fitting. It is convex at the front and flat at the rear. The loop is oval in plan and has three evenly spaced knopped protrusions. The bar is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear. An incomplete cast copper alloy flat axehead of Early Bronze Age date c. 2150 BC – c. 1500 BC). Length 45.1mm, width 37.1mm and 7.8mm thick. Weight 42.17g. The butt and one of the blade tips are missing and the breaks are old. The blade of the axe was probably symmetrical in plan. The blade expands from the break at the top (the butt end) and originally the wing tips flared outwards abruptly and evenly. However on this example, one of the blade tips appears to have broken and then been re-modelled or re-sharpened in antiquity to form a gently curving edge rather than a flaring tip…

Fragment of a copper alloy circular gilded mount with interlace work of Early Early-Medieval date (AD 600 - AD 700). The mount would have been about 68mm in diameter, when complete. It is about 2.5mm thick and weighs 10.41g. Two small portions of the central part survive and these are decorated with three-stranded Style II animal interlace (part of a foot or paw appears to be present).
