A cast copper alloy post medieval buckle frame. The buckle was double looped with a cast rectangular frame, drilled to take a separate spindle. This is now missing along with the pin, but iron corrosion from the spindle can be seen at the drilled holes. The top side of the frame has bevelled edges but otherwise it is plain.

A copper alloy buckle frame. The frame is a single loop D-shape, widened at the pin rest on the outside edge. The pin bar is narrowed and the pin is missing although the bar is more worn where the pin attached. The frame is plain.

A copper alloy post medieval Nuremburg jeton of the rechenmeister type from an anonymous issuer. This example is not directly paralleled by any in Mitchiner, but is very similar to examples on p.415. Jetons such as this were used in financial calculations as is shown on this example, where the rechenmeister (accountant) is using the jetons in his calculations and entering the results in the accounts book.

A copper alloy Roman nummus of the House of Constantine. The coin has a 'Gloria Exercitus' reverse with 2 soldiers and 1 standard so can be dated to 335-341AD. Although the inscriptions are largely illegible on the obverse it ends 'NOB C' so it must have been issued in the name of one of Constantine's sons.

Probably a copper alloy token from the late 1660s. Official small denomination coinage was scarce in the mid 17th century and many merchants produced their own tokens, especially in the late 1660s. Eventually Charles II issued an official copper coinage and tokens were outlawed in 1672.
