A complete lead cloth seal, formed from two circular discs, joined together with a connecting strip. The complete disc (Disc 1) is stamped with a pine-cone (emblem of Augsburg) with an anvil-shaped projection below; the pine-cone is decorated with raised pellets. There is a six-pointed star in the right field. L ? E can been seen to the top left of the disc. The perforated disc (Disc 2) is stamped with a bishop's crozier. Compare SF-261786 and NMS-848772. Perhaps 16th or 17th century.

A copper-alloy seal matrix for the Cloth Subsidy of the County of Essex. From the late 13th century to the 15th century. Inscription: S'SUBSIDII PANNORUM IN COMT ESSE Central motif: Kings Head.(or crowned leopard's head?) The seal will most likely have had a wooden handle, which in now missing. A Neolithic axehead (or possibly an adze). The axe dates from between circa 3500 BC to 2100 BC. The implement has been extensively knapped and highly polished into a sub-oval shape. One terminal tapers to a slightly pointed end; the other (the butt) is rounded and wider. The butt end is asymmetrical, while the tapered terminal appears damaged. Terminal from a copper-alloy penannular brooch of early-medieval date and Irish origin. A short length of the curved frame survives, with a D-shaped cross-section, and there is a thickening where this joins the terminal. The terminal is sub-triangular and decorated with a shallow cast relief design. The fragment is corroded so that it is hard to see the details of the design, but it appears to be formed around a sunken lozenge shape within an oval frame with D-shaped cells around the edge of this frame, two above and one below. A complete silver seal matrix of 17th Century date. The seal matrix has a fluted trifoliate handle with a small knop projecting from the tip of the upper foliate. The upper foliate is tear-drop shaped while the two smaller side foliates are circular. From the handle a short, circular sectioned stem flares outwards to form the die. The die is oval in plan and is engraved with a fleur-de-lis design flanked by the initials WB. face measures : 12.1mm x 10.7mm

A fragment of a cast copper-alloy early Anglo-Saxon (or Anglian) cruciform brooch. The fragment comprises part of the head plate and one knob, probably the top knob. The head plate has been badly damaged but retains its broadly rectangular shape. There is a raised central panel which is edged on either side with punchmarks, probably annulets. The surviving knob is half-round with a flat-topped basal moulding decorated with two fine grooves, and a further fine groove at the base of the rounded terminal. A zoomorphic strap-end made of copper alloy. The strap end terminates in a dragon- or lizard-type creature on the front, with a raised design for the head outline, eyes and nose with two knops either side extending outwards. The neck of the creature forms the attachment part of the strap end. It is 31.8 mm in length, 10.4 mm in width and 7.6 mm in thickness, it weighs 8.1g. A small Neolithic lithic implement, formed into a thumb scraper. The flint is roughly oval in overall shape, but has a domed top and a flat base. The top has been left with 70% cortex. It has been formed from a light orangey-brown flint. The bulb of percussion and striking platform do not survive. The worked edge of the scraper has steep retouch.
