A small cast copper alloy openwork mount. The mount is lozenge shape with a small lobed knop at each corner. The openwork element in the centre is quatrefoil shaped. The surface of the mount is worn with a dark reddish-brown patina. On the reverse two attachment spikes extend upwards and inwards. This object dates to the 17th -18th century.

A cast copper alloy post-medieval mount.
The mount is sub-rectangular in shape with decoratively moulded bands. Three bands are visible on the front. Each end of the mount terminates with a rounded raised knop, which itself is decorated with a series of incised lines.
The reverse is flat with the worn remains of two attachment spikes at either end of the mount. The original surface of the object has worn away, leaving a mid greenish-brown patina.

A cast copper alloy mount in the form of a flower, with nine outer petals, each petal has been drawn out with an incised line and has a pellet in the rounded end.
There are two projecting spikes on the reverse for attachment, one of which is bent at a right angle. The tip of one of the spikes has broken off, the break is worn. The reverse is flat. The object is worn, with a mid greyish-green patina. Traces of gilding survive. This object possibly dates to the 16th - 18th century.

A cast copper alloy, gilded mount in the form of a flower or Tudor rose, formed of five petals. The details of the petals have been finely drawn out with incised lines. There is a raised pellet in the centre of the flower. Projecting up from the flower is an open, triangular loop, with a small knop at the terminal proper. Below the flower (on the same axis) is a short flower stem, which is bent at the end.

A cast copper alloy gilded mount.
The mount is formed from two shell shaped plates, with all the details of a shell visible. A knop can be seen extending out from between the shells on the upper surface. On the reverse there are two holes, into which a rod of copper alloy has been threaded, which terminates on both ends with an oval knop.
The metal is a mid reddish-brown colour.
This object is 17th – 18th Century in date.

A cast copper alloy, gilded umbonate mount.
The mount is formed from a circular dome, which forms the main part of the mount. Cast integrally to the mount is a rounded extension plate, with two rivet holes. On the other end of the main plate there is a rectangular extension, which is buckled. Two rivet holes can also be seen in this plate.
The mount is undecorated, but the gilding is visible mainly on the two extension plates. The metal is a dark reddish-brown colour.

Cast copper alloy mount. The mount has been formed from a single plate of copper alloy, the plate is domed and the edge of the plate has an incised linear border. The mount has been cast as one piece but its shape is derived from two semi-circles, joins by a waisted strip of copper alloy. The elements on the front are all slightly domed, so on the reverse they appear concave. There is an attachment at either end of the mount. The spikes are all damaged, but would have presumably attached the mount to leather. The surface is mid reddish-brown, but traces of a black lacquer are evident.…

A cast copper alloy mount. The mount comprises a main triangular plate. Cast integrally to the top and bottom of the mount is a circular knop and there is a knop on either side of the short edge of the triangle. The front surface is decorated with a raised moulded design. The reverse is flat. Two attachment spikes have been attached to the reverse, both are broken. The metal is a mid brassy-brown colour, due to cleaning. The metal is worn and pitted. It probably dates from the post-medieval period. This mount was probably used to decorate leather.

A cast copper-alloy strap mount dating to the 16th - 18th century. The mount is irregularly shaped (resembling a crude acorn). Two attachment spikes project from the reverse and are bent away from each other. These spikes would have allowed the mount to be attached to a leather strap. The metal has a mid reddish-brown patina and is fairly worn, much of the original surface has been lost.

A cast copper alloy horse bridle boss. The boss is circular in shape, with a raised circular central dome, surrounded by a floral border. The central dome is decorated with a floral design. Two rivet holes are set opposite each other. The reverse of the object is undecorated. The object is very worn and much of the original surface is missing. Where it remains, it has a reddish-brown patina. Horse bosses of this type date to the 18th century.
