A cast brass fob seal, dating from the late 18th – 19th century. This type of seal would have hung from a gentleman’s chain, a chain that was also used for the suspension of a fob watch. The setting of the face of the seal contains a red stone or oval shaped piece of glass. The setting is also oval and features a bust.

A cast copper alloy strap fitting or similar object, a search through the normal literature could not find a parallel. The object is formed of a plate of copper alloy, sub-rectangular in shape. Two notches have been cut into the plate, forming three extensions. The front of the plate has been decorated with an incised grid design, filled with a light brown paste. The reverse is undecorated but a small stump extends out from the reverse. Possibly Roman or early-medieval in date.

A cast copper alloy single looped oval buckle, with integral plate. There is a rivet hole in the plate, which still contains the pin. The rest of the plate has broken off. There are decorative pointed knops either side of the strap bar. The object has been gilded. The metal is a mid reddish-brown colour, but the pin is a light greyish-green. These buckles date from circa AD 1250 - 1400. Parallels for this type of buckle can be seen in Whitehead, p33-4.

A cast copper alloy strap fitting, formed from an oval loop, cast integrally to a circular section length of copper alloy, which divides into two at the end. The object has traces of gilding surviving which would suggest a medieval date. The object is a dark reddish-brown colour and heavily pitted.

Due to a lack of excavated examples it is not possible to date this object. Copper alloy rings like this one have been used through-out history for everything from harness fittings to clothes fittings.

An incomplete Early-medieval Anglo Scandinavian cast copper-alloy stirrup terminal, dating to the 11th Century. Williams's classification of these terminals can be seen in 'Stirrup Terminals', 1997. The zoomorphic terminal depicts a beast's head and is D-shaped in section with a hollow shaft on the back and a small supporting ledge. The shaft contains traces of iron and soil but would have once have housed the iron stirrup arm. A cast copper alloy gilded mount. The mount is formed from two shell shaped plates, with all the details of a shell visible. A knop can be seen extending out from between the shells on the upper surface. On the reverse there are two holes, into which a rod of copper alloy has been threaded, which terminates on both ends with an oval knop. The metal is a mid reddish-brown colour. This object is 17th – 18th Century in date.

Post medieval pipe tamper; cast copper alloy pipe tamper in the shape of a prancing male figure, of probable 18th or 19th century date. The figure is clothed in period costume of the Tudor period (tunic and hose), with a hat (which looks later) and he is playing a long horn. The actual tamper is formed from 5 collars, which the figure is standing on. The artefact is quite worn so much of the detail is worn.

A cast copper alloy mount in the form of a Tudor rose, with six outer petals and six inner petals. The petals of the outer rose alternate with transverse grooves. There are two projecting spikes on the reverse for attachment, both of which are bent. The tip of one of the spikes has broken off, the break is worn. The reverse is flat. The object is worn, with a mid reddish-brown patina. This object possibly dates to the 16th - 18th century.
