It is decorated with an 8 spoke wheel motif on the obverse with a pellet in each section. On the reverse there is a long cross with a centre pellet and a pellet in each quarter. Tokens with such simple designs are very easy to make and continued in use for a long period; in this case the design appears to echo long cross coins of the later medieval period so a general date of circa 1350-1500 AD is given.
