A cast copper alloy knop, possibly from a brooch. Due to the fact the knop is the only surviving piece, it is not possible to date it. The knop has a circular, flat terminal, which is joined to a spherical central piece. The outer surface of the sphere is coated in corroded iron, suggesting that it was joined to a larger item at this junction. The metal is slightly pitted and is a mid greyish-green colour.

Neither the interior nor the exterior surfaces of the bowl are decorated, but both surfaces are pitted and exhibit signs of active corrosion. A very small glass bead of unknown date. The bead is sub-spherical with flattened ends and a central hole. The bead is made of blue glass and is in fair condition, with a pitted surface. Beads of this style were used from the Iron Age until the medieval period and beyond and so are impossible to date. This blue colour was popular in the 1st-3rd centuries, but could also be from an Anglo Saxon context. This is also some possibility that this bead is modern in date.

The find consists of a crudely cast, thick, slightly curved white metal bar of ovoid section, which has been cut across at both ends; length, 63 mm; weight, 227 g. It is undiagnostic and undatable, so does not qualify as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996. The British Museum recommended that the Secretary of State should disclaim the Crown's interest in this find and the find was returned to the finder.

Treasure case : 2007 T178 A metal object of unusual form, consisting of a central cylinder, which is hollow, though sealed at both ends. Each end is decorated with a band of cabling or rope-work. Entwined around the cylinder is a knot of twisted wires contained within a cabled border. The object is gold, but of indeterminate date. Dimensions: length 17 mm, width 14 mm. As the find can not be securely dated to pre-1707 and as such falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.

A crudely cast lead conical weight. The weight has a flat base and top, with a circular perforation through the centre of the weight. The weight measures 26.9mm in diameter. The weight is decorated with raised lines, but all edges are well rounded. The weight is complete. The lead is a light whitish-grey colour. A large and tall oval-shaped lead weight, formed of two hemispheres, with a ridge marking the hemisphere. There is a large circular perforation running through the centre of the weight. The hole is now largely filled with lead corrosion product and soil. These weighs are not yet completely understood. It is possible that it dates to the medieval period or later, but due to the lack of context this weight must remain undated. The weight is complete. The lead is a light whitish-grey colour.
