From the reverse however the knop is concaved and the collared area flat.
The metal is a dark brownish-green colour and is worn. The knop is 10.9mm long, 8.8mm wide, 5.3mm thick and weighs 1.5g.
A similar example can be seen in EAA 84, p.164, fig.47, no.15.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy unidentified object, which has been damaged by exposure to heat. The object appears to have been circular with a circular section. There is a bulbous central area, flanked by raised collars, either side of these are the breaks, which are very worn. The metal has a pitted, mid greyish-green patina. Due to a lack of contextual evidence it is not possible to date this object, so a precise date for this object can not be guaranteed as it is rather fragmentary and undiagnostic.
