A large cast copper alloy spur rowel with sixteen points.Measuring an average of 48mm in diameter. Each point has bevelled edges. There is a central circular perforation. The surface patina is corroded and is a mid greyish-green. This spur rowel dates to the medieval to post-medieval period, circa 1300- 1650.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy purse frame, from a 15th - 16th century purse. The fragment is C-shaped with an L-shaped section. Both terminals are broken. There are five sewing holes drilled through the bottom flange, three are next to each other, the first and fifth are spaced further away. The top is decorated with foliage and scrolls. The word SOLI appears to be shown at the beginning of the design. These letters and some of the scrolls have been infilled with what appears to be niello.

Identification supplied by Jim Halliday: A Pilgrims Ampulla of the 13th to the early 16th century AD. These small holy water containers were acquired by pilgrims visiting the many holy shrines of the period. These ampullae contained Holy Water or blessed water from the local springs, the said waters were thought at the time to be a cure for all illness and misfortunes. For instance, the blessed water poured onto the farm land was thought to ensure a good crop, a sick animal anointed with this blessed water may be cured and thrive. A cast copper-alloy hooked clothing fastener, with a rectangular strap-loop. Cast in one piece. The main body of the tag is formed by an openwork circular plate which has a border of conjoined ovals, enclosing an inner circle, with a fleur de lys in the centre. The hook survives intact. The object is slightly bent and twisted.

An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The buckle is a single loop D-shape with expanded outer edges. The frame is lipped and notched where the pin rests and the strap bar is narrowed and offset. The pin no longer remains. The buckle is undecorated. The metal is a mid greenish-brown colour and is worn. Buckles of this type date to circa 1350-1450. Similar examples can be seen in Whitehead, p20.

An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of post-medieval date. The buckle is a double loop asymmetrical shape with a narrowed strap bar. The inside and outside edges are bevelled. The pin no longer remains. The metal is a light brownish-green colour and is worn. Buckles of this type date to circa 1575-1700. A similar example can be seen in Whitehead, p.90.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy button and loop fastener. The fastener is of a type classified by Wild as a Class VI b fastener with a solid square-head.The reverse is flat and has the loop extending out from the back of the head. The loop is formed from a projecting strip of copper alloy, which has a right-angle bend just behind the head, the strip then forks open and would have formed a triangular loop. The loop has broken and the breaks are worn. The entire surface is slightly pitted, but much of the original surface survives. The original metal is a dark greyish-brown colour.

A cast copper alloy button of medieval to post-medieval date. The head of the button is a squashed spherical with an integral shank. The shank is an oval loop with an oval hole at its centre, it has broken. The metal is a light reddish-brown colour.

A fragment of a post-medieval cast pewter spoon. The fragment comprises the worn and abraded spoon bowl and part of the flattened rectangular-sectioned stem. Both surfaces are undecorated. The heel of the stem can be seen on the reverse of the bowl. The bowl is badly damaged. This fragment is dated to the 18th - 19th century.

A cast copper alloy S-shaped belt clasp. Both terminals have rounded, stylised ends. The fitting is decorated, in the centre with a rounded knop, further decorated with two parallel lines. Extending out from the knop are some parallel lines, with a shorter line crossing them. There is a ring around the clasp, which would have been used for further attachment. The fitting is likely to be 18th - 19th century. A parallel can be found in Egan, p47, 172.

A lead Russian bag or bale seal of post-medieval date. Both sides of the seal contain Russian text in relief. One side reads: [--]B // IEH.3. // H.N. // 1833. The other side reads: II:A. // N.M.MY // NOBb // N.25 . There are holes in the edges of the seal, which would have held the chord. The seal is a mid greyish-white colour and is worn.
