A cast copper alloy buckle plate, medieval in date. The plate is rectangular and flat. The object is formed from one plate, folded widthways to form the front and back plate. Both terminals of the plate are broken; therefore no pin recess or other attachment evidence survives. The plate has been decorated with incised decoration, but much of the original surface has been lost due to corrosion. There are three rivet holes in the plate. The metal is a dark greyish-green colour.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy single looped D-shaped buckle. All that survives is the outer edge of the frame, which has been decoratively moulded. The pin is missing. The reverse is moulded like the front. The metal has lost most of its original surface and the metal is a mid reddish-brown colour and is pitted. This type of buckle dates from circa 1250 – 1400. Parallels for this type of buckle can be seen in Whitehead, p21.

A cast copper alloy oval buckle frame with an integral plate. The frame has a single loop with a pointed lip and extending knop. There is a notch cut into the plate, next to the strap bar for the pin. The pin survives intact and in situ. Both plates remain. The front plate is broken, revealing the forked spacer inside. The back plate is intact and has been bent back on itself. There is a rivet hole in the terminal of this plate, which is also decoratively cut on the end. It is a dark brownish-green colour and is worn. It is medieval in date.

A cast copper alloy double looped buckle shoe or knee buckle with drilled frames for a separate spindle. The frame is decoratively moulded, with engraved transverse lines, either side of the strap bar. The chape, pin and tongue are missing. There is some iron staining evident on the spindle, indicating that an iron pin used to sit there. The frame buckle is complete. The metal is a dark greyish-green colour. These buckles date from circa 1660-1720. Parallels for this type of buckle can be seen in Whitehead, 2003, p99.

The other loop is broken and only half of it survives but it is much larger than the other loop. The plate has a flattened D-shaped section; it is undecorated, with no rivet holes. This buckle was probably used on horse equipment; parallels for this type of buckle can be seen in Whitehead, 2003, p35.

A cast copper alloy single loop buckle with decorative integral plate. The buckle has a triangular frame, with a notched lip, with a pin recess. The integral plate is narrow with moulded decoration and bevelled sides. Two rivet holes can be seen next to the junction between the frame and the plate. The buckle then has a decoratively shaped and moulded trefoil terminal, with a small rivet hole in the centre. The reverse is flat. Parallels for this type of buckle can be seen in Whitehead, 2003, p35.

There is an ovoid knop on the outer edge of the rounded loop, now broken. The pin is missing. The buckle is a mid brownish-green in colour. This type of buckle dates to 1575-1700. The strap bar projects beyond the edge of the frame, terminating with rounded lobes. The buckle is a mid brownish-green colour, but the surface is pitted and has lost much of its original surface. The box chape has been cast as one piece along with the strap attachment. The chape has a flat front plate and a flat back plate.
