A cast copper alloy Polden Hill type brooch dating to the 1st century AD. The head is large and rounded and sits high above the wings. The wings are semi-circular, with a hollow cut away on the reverse. The terminals of the wings are rounded. The bow simply tapers from the head, to form a circular sectioned bow. The foot has broken off, which has also removed the catchplate. There is no spring or hinge mechanisms surviving, and the pin is also missing. Similar brooches can be seen in Hattatt, p300, Fig: 159.

A cast copper alloy headstud variant brooch. The brooch survives intact and has some unusual features. The head of the brooch is prominent and features the headstud. The headstud itself extends to form an elongated spine down the front of the bow. The wings are short and are decorated with vertical incised lines. A cast copper alloy Roman disc brooch, from the 2nd Century AD. The brooch comprises a circular, flat plate, with six circular lobes extending out around the edge, at almost equal intervals. Each one has a circular depression, infilled with either a light blue enamel or a whitish-cream enamel. The main plate has a raised rim decorated with short incised lines. An almost complete Roman Trumpet brooch dating to 75 - 175 AD. The brooch is almost complete but the foot, catchplate and pin are missing.  The tubular mechanism is formed from a double tube, with the gap in the centre. A fragment of a cast copper alloy Trumpet brooch of Roman date. Only the head survives. The head is wide and trumpet shaped and is undecorated. The break occurs at the top of the bow. On the reverse of the head the broken loop can be seen, this loop would have been the spring in position. The metal is a light greenish-brown colour and survives in poor condition. Brooches of this type date from between 75-175 AD. Similar examples can be seen in Hattatt, p326, fig.185.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy Anglo-Saxon (Anglian) cruciform brooch. The fragment comprises the head plate, with wings, the upper part of the bow and a pierced lug for attachment can be seen on the reverse of the head plate. There is a single top knob which is round, with a collar beneath it. The knob has a wide groove and then a thick collar. A cast copper alloy fragment of a Trumpet brooch, dating from 75 – 175 AD. All that survives of the brooch is the lower bow and foot, as it has broken off below the acanthus decoration. There is a raised spine on the front of the lower bow. There are then three collars at the ankle junction. Below which there is a circular foot. On the reverse of the object the catchplate remains, but it has been broken. Similar brooches can be seen in Hattatt, p327 c.f.

A fragment of a copper alloy Roman disc brooch dating to the 2nd Century AD. The fragment consists of a flat, undecorated disc. On the reverse are the remains of the catchplate which would have held the pin closed. The catchplate is damaged and the pin is missing. There is no evidence of any decoration, however, the surface is corroded so this may have removed or concealed any surface decoration. The brooch dates to the 2nd Century AD. See Hattatt, p344, fig.203.

A cast copper alloy small-long brooch, dating to the 5th or 6th century (c. 450-550 AD). The brooch has a flat head plate, with three semi-circular lobed extensions. These extensions are undecorated and although the brooch is badly corroded and some of the surface has been lost, what remains has a smooth, shiny patina. The brooch is broken at the beginnings of the arch of the bow, the break is worn. The break has resulted in the loss of the bow and foot.
