A medieval or post medieval cast lead token. The token is worn and corroded to illegibility. It is 11.93mm in diameter, 1.17mm thick and weighs 0.78g. Lead tokens had a variety of uses and were often made locally, they are therefore hard to date precisely and this could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date c.1250-1800 AD.

A cast lead alloy post medieval token with the initials EF on one side separated by a central dot. The token is 16.22mm in diameter, 2.72mm thick and weighs 3.64g. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely but those with initials are generally thought to be Post Medieval in date, c.1500-1850 AD.

A lead 'Lyon' counter, a token dated to circa 1574. The obverse and reverse are of unoffical token of the reign of Elizabeth I. Obverse: Fleurs between two pillars. Reverse: Rampant lion crown with legend.
