County: North Yorkshire
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
An incomplete cast lead badge, possibly a pilgrim’s badge. The badge has a circular wheel motif at the top, attached to an outer loop, which could be a bulge. There is a pellet in the centre of the wheel. Small sprues hold the two elements together. The entire object has been decorated with high relief designs. The reverse is undecorated. This badge is probably post-medieval in date.
