A cast lead alloy stud (pewter). The front face of the stud is off-square with a raised relief design on the front. There is a central circle decorated with an incised cross-hatched design. Around this there the raised motif of a Tudor rose. It has been designed to fit inside a square. The reverse of the stud is flat and features two attachment spikes, one of which has broken. The metal is a mid silvery-grey colour. This stud dates to the 16th - 17th Century.

An incomplete cast lead alloy seal matrix of post-medieval date. The matrix has a large, flat handle with a broken pierced loop. The face is flat and oval in shape and measures18.5mm x 16.7mm. The face depicts a raised cross, with a pellet in each quarter, one in the centre and a series of pellets around the outside. The lead is now a dull creamy-brown colour and it pitted.

A cast lead alloy button, the button has a rounded top and a flat reverse. It has a central pellet, with two concentric rings around it. Around this are a series of incised triangles, which point outwards. There is a rim around the edge of the button. On the reverse there are two bent over stumps, which would once have formed the loop. It is possible that the incised triangles held enamel but none can be seen in situ.

An incomplete cast lead alloy solid button dating to the late medieval to early post-medieval period. The button is complete but the integrally cast loop has broken off. The button head is semi-circular and decorated with a central pellet and radiating raised lines. In between the raised lines are a series of parallel horizontal lines. This button dates to between 1400-1650.

A complete cast lead alloy button of post-medieval date. The button is domed, with a flat reverse. It features a central pellet, with four concentric rings of pellets around it. Projecting from the centre of the reverse is the oval loop. The metal has a mid brownish-green and glossy patina and survives in very good condition.

A cast lead fragment from a larger object in the shape of a toad or frog. It is possible that this fragment is the terminal from a spoon handle or a simply object. The front has been decoratively moulded into the shape of a toad, looking down from above. Extra detail can be seen marking out the toads skin, eyes and legs. The reverse is flat and undecorated.

A cast lead alloy solid button dating to the late medieval to early post-medieval period. The button is complete with an integrally cast shank. The button head is almost spherical apart from a raised nipple in the centre of the front of the head. The shank has been cast integrally within the head, and consists of a flat plate, which has a stepped section and has been pierced to allow it to be sewn into place. This button dates to between 1300-1650.

An incomplete cast lead badge, possibly a pilgrim’s badge. The badge has a circular wheel motif at the top, attached to an outer loop, which could be a bulge. There is a pellet in the centre of the wheel. Small sprues hold the two elements together. The entire object has been decorated with high relief designs. The reverse is undecorated. This badge is probably post-medieval in date.

A cast lead pendant. The pendant has a circular loop, attached to a cross. The cross is not equal sided, as the lower arm sticks out to one side. A pewter/ lead alloy knop and part of the stem from a post-medieval spoon. The stem has a squared-oval section and has an old break at the end and it is bent. The knop is in the form of a man. It is very crude and stylised. His hair and facial details are just about visible, as are his clothes - especially the three buttons of his shirt. There are two collars below the man.

A cast lead alloy animal figurine. The figurine probably represents a dog, but it could be a bear. The dog is a male which once would have been mounting the female. The female is no longer present. The basic details of the face and tail can be seen but the legs have been crudely made. The metal is a mid silvery-grey colour and it is possibly made out of a lead alloy or pewter. It had been suggested that the figurine was Roman, but Sally Worrell (PAS National Finds Advisor) stated that Roman dog figurines are not common and the style of this figurine is far more realistic, rather …

A cast pewter object, which has been either tinned or silvered. Only half of the object survives and the break is very irregular. The front surface has been decorated with a raised design. The design is heavily corroded and damaged. It appears to show a cross, with a floral border. Around the edge of the object there is a pelleted border and a raised rim. The reverse of the object is flat and undecorated. The metal is a mid silvery-grey colour. The object is post-medieval in date, but it has an uncertain function. It could be a mount.

Circular, convex, solid cast, lead/tin button, with a six-petalled flower/wheel decoration. The six sunken petals are in the form of petal-shaped cells. The spokes in between are raised and have rows of three raised pellets on them, hence 'wheel'. There is also a central pellet and pellets around the edge. The back is flat with the casting seam visible and the integral cast loop is broken.

The hair style is wrong for the Roman period and a perfect circle has been drilled into the back of the hair. It is therefore post-medieval to modern in date.

A cast lead alloy mount, probably dating to the Civil War period or the reigns of either Charles I or II. The object is formed from a flat, shaped plate. With two rounded lobes projecting from the top of an otherwise rectangular plate. The plate has a pellet border and a cross on each on the lobes. There is a capital CR in the centre with a floral design below, CR could possibly refer to Charles Rex. The reverse is flat, undecorated and shows no sign of attachment. But the object has been broken widthways.
