A complete cast copper alloy post-medieval finger ring. The ring is simply formed from an undecorated band, with a raised bezel. The bezel has a hole at the apex and on the underside. The metal is mid reddish-brown in colour and slightly worn. The ring probably dates to the 15th - 18th century.

Treasure case 2008 T599 Post-medieval silver inscribed posy-ring Date: 16th - 17th Century Description: A silver finger ring with a D-shaped section, no joint is evident in the hoop of the ring. Post-medieval gold inscribed posy-ring Date: 15th - 16th Century A gold finger ring with a flat, rectangular section and a thin rim on the upper and lower edge, no joint is evident in the hoop of the ring. The exterior of the hoop is undecorated, but two small sprues of gold can be seen in one place on the outer edge. TREASURE CASE : 2008 T520. Roman silver finger ring Date: Late 1st or 2nd Century A fragment of a cast silver Roman finger-ring, less than half of the ring remains. The bezel has a horizontal oval setting, with an oval cell in the centre as it has lost its intaglio. The undecorated shoulders taper into the loop, the loop has a D-shaped section. The breaks are worn. The surface is a dark greyish-silver colour. A cast copper alloy finger ring. All that survives is the oval bezel. It is flat and rounded and has an incised dashed edge, rather like it has been milled. Inside the border there is an incised motif, the design of which is uncertain. The bezel sits proud of the shoulders, through the ring is broken on both shoulders. The breaks are worn and corroded. The ring is probably late medieval to post-medieval in date.
