Headstud brooches date from the early 2nd Century onwards. An elaborate cast copper alloy brooch with detailed enamel decoration and silver wire tracing the features of the brooch. It is in very good condition and is complete, it was found with a small separate copper alloy pin/rivet with a rounded head. The brooch has a raised head stud; which has lost its central setting, there is a pin with a wide head loose inside the aperture. This pin is feed through the head of the brooch.
